TRAINING TO BECOME A IAPA RESCUER<\/h1>\n

The training to be a IAPA Rescuer is based on the training of a IAPA Instructor. As a Rescuer, you have all the skills of instructors and may assist and rescue participants from a height. They therefore have a number of responsibilities and play a very vital role in the running of an adventure park.<\/p>\n

The basic training to become a IAPA Rescuer comprises at\u00a0least 30 teaching units (45 min each).
The training is carried out by a certified IAPA Trainer in one\u2019s own facility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Proof of first aid (9 teaching units)\u00a0respectively the signed IAPA G41\/ first aid paper.<\/li>\n
  • Minimum age: 18.<\/li>\n
  • The training participant is able to walk the complete\u00a0adventure park like a participant.<\/li>\n
  • The training participant has a written and spoken command\u00a0of the working language in the adventure park.<\/li>\n
  • Completed training to become an instructor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    Content of the training:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Proper installation, dismantling, and use of ladders.<\/li>\n
    • Establishment of necessary anchor points for all\u00a0belay techniques used in the park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Rescue and lowering from platform:\n
          \n
        • Option A: with fully automatic device<\/li>\n
        • Option B: with semi-automatic device<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Rescue and lowering from element:\n
              \n
            • Option A: with fully automatic device<\/li>\n
            • Option B: semi-automatic device w. mobile pulley (e.g. Petzl JAG)<\/li>\n
            • Option C: semi-automatic device with stationary pulley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Yo-yo evacuation technique:\n
                  \n
                • Option A: with fully automatic device<\/li>\n
                • Option B: with semi-automatic device and back-up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  • Evacuation procedures including one evacuation exercise at least.<\/li>\n
                  • Ability to independently carry out routine visual checks according\u00a0to EN 15567-1, including all necessary visual and functional\u00a0checks before the park is opened.<\/li>\n
                  • Extended PPE for the visual and functional checks\u00a0of the equipment used in the park.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
